Cy-Hope Fine Arts - Devine Virtuosos
PIP (Private Instruction) payments can be made HERE.
A group of Cy-Fair ISD music educators created Devine Virtuosos, a Cy-Hope music initiative to expand the arts and enrich students' lives through music by providing performance events and increasing access for underserved students to supplemental music instruction. Through these programs, music students have opportunities to cultivate creativity, confidence, and community. Many studies show exposure to the arts helps kids achieve success in life; Cy-Hope wants all children to benefit from having access to music programs.
This program increases access to the arts for underserved students through:
The Providing Instruction Program (PIP) gives underserved middle-school students access to private music lessons. A $66 monthly donation provides music lessons for one underserved student.
Summer Band Camp to provide an affordable summer camp for middle-school band students from throughout Cy-Fair ISD to work on music, team-building, and performance skills, with scholarships for underserved students to attend for free. Make a $120 donation to provide an underserved band student with summer camp. Students participating in summer band camp need to be 8th and 9th graders in the fall of the following school year (graduating 7th and 8th graders).
A 5th Grade Choral Festival that brings together 5th-grade choir students to perform together in the district's Berry Center event facility.
